Principally Speaking...

Greetings students, parents, and friends of Middletown High School.

Congratulations to our Middletown Varsity Girls Track Team for competing and finishing as
league champions! Twenty-two of our MHS Track student-athletes are advancing to the North
Coast Sections (NCS). We are so proud of our student-athletes!

Seniors, the time is nearing for your transition into the Career or College world. Please ensure
your community service hours are completed, your grades for this semester are appropriate,
and you have completed your senior projects.
Go Mustangs!

Thank you for your support. Have a fantastic week!

Counselor's Corner

We started AP testing this week with the new digital exams. I believe it went very well. Next week the exams will be:

Monday, May 12th - AP Calculus 8 am

Tuesday, May 13th - AP PreCalc 8 am
                                  APES 12 noon

Calculus and Precalculus will be Hybrid exams, partially online and partially written. Please make sure students are prepared and know their CollegeBoard login. They will not be able to access login information on the Chromebook and it will not self populate. I highly recommend a healthy carb (banana) eaten 12 hours before the exam and a protein 30 minutes before the exam to activate brain power!

I had the pleasure of attending the ONWARD banquet put on by LCOE with five of our Seniors this week. The students received special cords for being accepted to a 4 year college. Unfortunately because of the date and the conflict with a major track event and a major dance production, many of our students who are attending four year universities were unable to attend. It was rewarding to see how many Lake County students will be moving on to a 4 year college.

Senior To Do List:

Community Service - You have until the 15th to complete hours.

I am excited to say that all of my Seniors are done with their make up work with the exception of one.

If you are planning on attending a community college and need help with the application, please come see me and I am happy to help.

I have also been helping students choose their classes for next year and helping them enroll. If you need help, please come see me.

There is one new scholarship that I received this week in the Scholarship Classroom. Deadline is June 1st.

Come see me if you have questions or need help! Please do not hesitate! I am here to help all of you!

Congratulations to Senior Golf Athlete Bodhi Moore! Bodhi carded the low round in all 7 of the CMC south matches this season and was the #1 individual player all around. Bodhi will compete on Monday at the NCS division 2 championships in Rohnert  Park. Congratulations Bodhi! You got this.

Congratulations to the varsity girls track team for placing 1st in league! Good luck to all athletes who will compete at NCS this Saturday in Santa Rosa.

Congratulations to the Tennis team who also placed first in League! They will compete this week at NCS at Head Royce in Oakland.
