Principally Speaking...

Greetings students, parents, and friends of Middletown High School.

Thank you to students, parents, colleagues, board members, and community members who
provided food and cards of appreciation for Middletown High School’s “Staff Appreciation
Week”. Your contributions are heartwarming.

I would like to say thank you to every MHS staff member…I am blessed to work with the best
high school staff in beautiful Lake County!

Parents and students, we have an abbreviated week of instruction due to no school for the
“Inclement Weather Day” this Friday, May 23, 2025.

Students, it is important to ensure you are
studying, submitting assignments, and finishing the school year strong.

Go Mustangs!
Thank you for your support. Have a great week!

Counselor's Corner

We continued AP testing this week with the new digital exams. I believe it went very well.

This weeks make up exams are:

Monday, May 19th - English Literature and Comp - 12 noon

Thursday, May 22nd - AP Precalc - 8 am

Please make sure students are prepared and know their CollegeBoard login. They will not be able to access login information on the Chromebook and it will not self populate. I highly recommend a healthy carb (banana) eaten 12 hours before the exam and a protien 30 minutes before the exam to activate brain power!

I had the pleasure of attending the Elks Scholarship banquet with 4 of our Seniors this week. MHS received the most scholarships…so proud of our students!

I am excited to say that all of my Seniors are done with their make up work!

If you are planning on attending a community college and need help with the application, please come see me and I am happy to help.

I have also been helping students choose their classes for next year and helping them enroll. If you need help, please come see me.

There is one new scholarship that I received this week in the Scholarship Classroom. Deadline is June 1st.

Come see me if you have questions or need help! Please do not hesitate! I am here to help all of you!

MHS Athletics

Fall athletes: semester grades decide your eligibility for fall sports. You must have a minimum of a 2.0 and are only allowed 1 F to be eligible. Keep those grades up. Academics come first!

MHS boys soccer is looking for a soccer coach for the fall season. Please contact Roxi Holt or apply on edjoin if interested.
